Anyone have any news about the Orchard Subdivision? We had fliers placed on our mailboxes months ago offering up to $500 per lot. I think some people signed then.

SoBoRes, per Tracie Caston at the LA. Conservation office, the records that you need for all correct information is on Sonris Lite under: http://sonlite.dnr.state.la.us/sundown/cart_prod/cart_con_sectwnrng1 . After searching the actual well numbers from the map, all wells were plugged and abandoned. I still think I am okay regarding my mineral rights. We will see you Tuesday night.
Hi SoBoRes,

Sorry that I don't have any more information. I have found my way around SONRIS for the past couple of years but have not had anyone explain any of it to me.

I have a basic understanding of a lot of it, but not much more than that.

Randy may be able to shed a little more light on the subject since he is a landman.

I have not been trained in Mineral Titles. I have only picked up what I know over the years. And like so many others may not be 100% on all aspects.

I have tried to make it clear that I am not a landman, but am willing to help with anything that is within my grasp. As you have. I appreciate all of the information that you have posted here.
Thanks for the info Parker, I'm still trying to research everything I can prior to our meeting this Tuesday. Terry, thanks for the link. Funny thing is I didn't even know that there was a dry-hole in my section until I looked at the link you provided. Good information.
Where is the dividing line for the other section? Do you live in my area? I am at the end of Jay and have owned my property since 96.
I can't tell my looking at on-line maps whether you are in 15 or 22. You would need to look at a copy of your plat to determine which section you are in.
In 22, I find serial #109350. It was plugged and abandoned 12-15-2002. It looks like an oil well though (by what I can ascertain). I don't know how much land it would hold by production.
Also keep in mind that the Skannal's could have included this property in with another lease that could hold this property by production (even if it is in another section).
I spoke with la dept of conservation and sec 15 17n 12w has 3 active wells. There # is 1-888-792-0432. I spoke with someone in production, they transferred me several times before I got to someone who had the information. What online site are you looking at? She also said that 17s 12e has old wells that are not in production and haven't been for some time. It sure doesn't look like I'm going to be able to play the Haynesville Shale game. I knew I wasn't going to get rich off of it I just wanted to be able to say I was in on the action. I probably will have better luck playing the lotto.
We are not technically in the Orchard, we are at the end of Bittersweet Drive in a subdivision called Gibson Acres. We purchased our house in June of 2007 and have not received any offers.

We went to the courthouse and went back to when the Montgomery's sold to the Gibsons and no one has ever reserved mineral rights, so we feel pretty confident we have ours.

We contacted Twin Cities. My mother in law lives in Southgate and received an offer from them. We talked to one of the landmen, a person we went to high school with and he said he was mailing an offer, but nothing has materialized.

We are very interested in joining forces. We know for a fact the guy that bought the empty lot across from ours has not sold his empty lot, nor the lot he currently lives on, also on Bittersweet. He said he knows 2-3 people who did not sell.

We are not technically able to join the HOA because we are not in the orchard and have no information from the president.
So, here we are probably at least 4 to 5 residents in the same section owning no less than 3/4 acres each. We need to get together sooner rather than later and discuss our options and decide how we should proceed. XTO and Petrohawk both showed interest when I spoke with them if we can get some acreage behind us. Not that they wouldn't be interested normally, but if Encana leased the majority of the minerals it makes for some interesting and not always beneficial obstacles for us remaining mineral owners.

Let me know when you might be available to discuss this (Friday would be the earliest for me). Shoot me an e-mail @ titanium954@gmail.com and I will forward my contact info that way.
We live on Mahan and I am trying to see who hasn't signed yet. I know of at least 6 lots in the front that haven't signed. We need to have a neighborhood meeting. The HOA is not helping with this but most of them have already signed for $200 so it is of no use to them. We have someone from an o&g company coming tonight to give us another offer. We will not sign (unless they offer $25k) without notifying others first. Any ideas on how to notify the entire neighborhood? I have thought of just a sign in my yard. Is that legal? I also have a contact number for someone in Plantation Trace sub who is trying to get a rep from all south bossier neighborhoods to ban together. Please e-mail me at beav_52@netzero.com.
Mom of 3

I live on Caspiana and have not signed. I would love to meet with you and the others to discuss this. Please email me at rdrabb@bellsouth.net. I can meet any afternoon.

Randy
I hope many others don't sign until we get together and determine what kind of leverage we can apply based on the acreage still remaining.

Good luck mom of 3, let us know what company and offer you were provided (that is if you don't mind).
