I looked at there web site, it didn't say a thing about the BD, but it is one cool website. Some companies grab whatever pics they can and slap them up, but these are pretty sharp...
yeah- they aren't talking about their LSBD position (i asked) but they have legacy operations and an office out of Arkansas I believe, which is what is showing up on their play map
They have been involved in Arkansas, especially in the Smackover for decades.
They are currently leasing in North Bossier Parish T22! Trying to acquire 20,000 or more acres!
On the net this morning, (11/8/12), is that Statoil is looking at Whiting. Whiting stock is up $4 this morning.
There used to be a video on YouTube called "Black gold hunters" from a Norway pop star, which was a Statoil promotional video. It was sort of interesting...

http://fuelfix.com/blog/2011/10/25/drilling-isnt-boring-says-statoi...
It was sung by a Norwegian pop star Aage Sten Nilsen

The FuelFix story still has the Gazprom song though, which is my personal favorite
You guys owe me- I had to call in a favor from a Norwegian friend-

After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
