SWN permitted the L SMK RA SUA; Doles 30 -22- 1W #1-Alt, S30 - 22N - 1W, Ora Field, Union Parish today.  The first alternate well is an indication that SWN now believes they have an area of focus to prove the Brown Dense economic.

In my experience Status Code 31 is used rarely.  Those that are vertical wells in appropriate formations are often converted to injection (disposal) wells at a later date.  Why SWN would need to report any of their Union Parish parish wells as Code 31 is unclear to me.  IMO SWN can not pull the trigger on full scale development of the Union Parish pressure fairway until they can determine the decline for their BD horizontal wells.  They can not accomplish that without a pipeline for the natural gas produced along with the oil, condensate and/or NGLs.

Someone told me they have the line for frac job at the Doles layed.  They also said the frac job should begin next week.

EOGs vertical pilots in Avoyelles parish are also Status 31. That status has always lead to confusion for me.

Flare also can be seen from a long distance.

Looks like the bopd went up from 51 to 132, which is a good sign, but it has a long way to go to get to my IP guesstimate of 1853 bopd. I need for it to get to that number to win Tony's jackpot. LOL

I would bet there flowing the well on a small choke at this time. (10/64)

If you dont like what I write then dont read it!! !!!

I think Mr. Pond is in serious need of a course in discussion etiquette.

Considering the BD's track record, I wouldn't be surprised with only 150bopd. They just may not be able to figure this thing out.

I've got the same feeling, NLA. I know the Bakken was a bust the first couple of years, and I know we need to wait and see on this, but it's been well over a year now and we don't seem to be any farther along than when it started.  Maybe SWN is a few million years too soon?

I wonder why the vertical Doles was doing so well and I wonder if this could be a vertical play. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Industry Brown Dense related activity is now in its fourth year.  The "discovery well" was drilled in the summer of '09.  The first horizontal exploration well by a capable operator was EOG in the fall of '09.  Since then Devon, Cabot and XTO (Exxon) have drilled one well a piece and exhibited no interest in drilling a second.  I hold out some hope of SWN drilling a commercial well but I do not think the economic area will be large by resource play standards.
