Thanks DBOB --  Well we finally know that the rumor about Parden leasing to Cabot is TRUE after 2 years of waiting  so it looks like Cabot, Devon, EOG, XTO/Exxon (Big Boys) are in Houston County

I pulled the W-1s - they haven't permitted anything else in Houston County within the last several years.  This location is just north of SH 21, and east of the trinity.  I think we can safely put the play width at 35+ miles, although someone mentioned to me that it may only be profitable across a fraction of that area.

One would think that with Horizontal fractured shale wells that the trend would be more blanket like rather than just having a few sweet spots that trapped hydrocarbons

Can this be linked to the Woodbine / Buda? What are they targeting?

The target listed is the Georgetown - Its part of the same play but they seem to be targeting a lower interval, perhaps due to vertical Pugh clauses... or maybe something about the geology that they suspect for that area.

Ive been working in the Crockett / Madisonville area the last six months and its hot over there..  most of the horizonals kick off @ 6000-7000ft decent oil wells but low bottom hole pressure they complete them with GLV .. Treadstone is drilling straight holes Perforating everything from 6000-11500   most of them start out @ 600-900 BBLs of oil a day..

Thanks Joshua ,

We need and appreciate all the help we can get
