I was reading through old Shelby Co. post and noticed Goodrich's Dean #1H and #2H, two set of horizontal wells off the same pad, one targeting Haynesville (1H) and one targeting Bossier (2H).

Production data was reported for the first three months via royalty checks but no data has surfaced since. Can anyone update me on these two wells and how they preformed? I have been unable to find any information. Thanks!

from the RRC website, production has been reported for the R. Dean Hay (SL) GU Well #1SL

2.7 BCF cumulative production from December 2010 to November 2012.  597 bbls of condensate, total.

November 2012 was 54884 MCF or 1.829mmcf/day.    I think they are probably lumping production on both those wells into one report, and if that is the case, its not so great.

Assuming $10 million per well, or $20 million total, and an average well head price of $3/mcf, they aren't even close to half way to payout.

If that is the case then yes, both wells are poor producers. Perhaps N. Shelby can't compete with S. Shelby. Anyways, take a glance at the image I attached. It was listed on the old post and had the 1H&2H separate in production. Does the RRC allow 2 wells to be comingled as you suggest?

Thanks for sharing the information above!

dbob-- you are correct the 2.7 Bcf  is combined  total both wells with the Bossier about 55% and Haynesville 45% only thing you can say is "at least not dry hole" maybe get most of your money back over 20 years. But there are better things to do with your money
