Cat equipment arrived yesterday in Pennington to start road for pad. 3.5 inches of rain last night halted this action. Hopeful for the end of the week. Still looking for drilling permit to be posted.

Woodbine- can you clarify tightly held?

I;m under the impression that a lot of the county has is not HBP.  granted, there are probably areas with large amount of former timber company holdings, and the government stuff.  I would appreciate any additional light you can shed

Woodbine,

What is considered a "large position" in you opinion?  Our combined tract which was recently released by XTO was a little over 600 ac. with at least an additional 400 ac. tract next door that remains unleased.

dbob, vernon ... not sure i can add a lot more.  But that is what I was told ... that XTO/XOM now feel like that have enough acreage and don't need to keep a team on the ground scrabbling together more. So that is consistent with the reports in this forum that their local leasing office has been closed.  And I guess its good news to the extentthat they are apparently not pulling out, but rather just focusing on what they have already got. My comment about it being tightly held was a reflection on the fact that large parts of Trinity are BLM land, are owned by timber companies, or are already leased by entities with large positions (incl XOM, Tekxon, etc).

Does anyone recognize on these pics what is going on with the Revolver and Abbey Rd.?

BTW -  Aerial photos of Penny Lane still show a bare pad.

Looks like the are still hauling flowback from Revolver.

Abbey rd. has a logging crew working, possibly maybe a frack job coming soon?

Both look like good signs even tho a pumpjack is on Revolver already, means its online and starting to produce.

They have turned in January production from Revolver 1H in the Sand Creek (Buda) formation. No IP yet so I have no idea how many days of production that report is for.

Also, there have been three iterations of the Revolver Unit... so far. Peruse in the order indicated on the files.

Based on the pictures, they were still flowing back a fair amount of water and flaring gas on the 26th of January, so I suspect production is not from a long period.

Work on Abbey Road is a really good sign, because they probably had to authorize that after February production at Revolver...

It's been too quiet on this thread, so:

1. Do you think it's a bad sign that Revolver is on artificial lift (the pump jack) so soon after fracking?  Shouldn't there be sufficient reservoir pressure to flow back the fracking fluid?

2. Does anyone know whatever happened to Devon's Louis Cook well off HWY 287 near the Houston County airport?

3. No activity on Penny Lane?

4. Congrats to Lufkin Industries shareholders on the buyout by GE.

!. Revolver artificial lift is only an issue if the production volume is low.  At this point, they would probably rather have more oil than gas, even if the pressure is not as good as one would want.

Devon well was fraced in late march - see attached.  This is from frac focus - suggests it is an oil targeted completion, with TVD on the well at 12400.

Looks like Penny Lane won't happen until Revolver gives up some data and/or Abbey Road has some success.

Thanks Dbob,

Hearing that Devon well was flared on an inclosed incinerator to hide results?

Devon acreage is surrounded by EOG at the Cook well site
