Axiom TEP, LLC, is the operator of several hundred shallow gas wells in and around Marion in Union Parish, most of which were drilled by Ergon in the late 1970's and early 1980's. My latest royalty check (a whopping $25.02) from Axiom was returned for insufficient funds. I tried calling the phone numbers for Axiom in Houston and The Woodlands and they were no longer in service. The Marion office number is in service but I was only able to leave a message. I have not received a return call.
Other than that I know nothing about Axiom's current operations in the Marion area. Have they shut down their Marion area operations? Has the company folded?

I have had trouble reaching Axiom, also. Does anyone have an address on them or suggestion as to how to contact them by phone?

I'm familiar with this operator. Bottom line, its a small time operation that doesn't much respond to anything less than formal demands (that's if you can get it delivered and get a return receipt signed). The do have the local office at Tiger Bend Rd. which may provide a more immediate sounding board, but the main guys are in Houston. That being said, I think they will probably cure a $25 check pretty easily if it means holding a lease.
Payment problems may not end at the royalty owner. I believe there are some filings in the Fed. Western District Monroe Division about some very large unpaid notes by Conquest. Maybe its hard to keep things going when you are waiting on that brown dense pay day for depths being held by the faintest production.
I assume SW Energy has an opinion on this because they have to make a call in their prospects as to whether to buy leasehold from Axiom/Conquest or take their own.
If all else fails, send them an Email to bjohnson@conquestpetroleum.com. I have been successful in using it.
We had the same problem with a Returned Check. We contacted them & were told a clerical error had been made in transferring the funds to cover the Royalty Checks. They corrected the transfer. We deposited the check again & had no problems with it.
Contact Information for them is: Conquest Petroleum, Inc., 13131 Champions Dr. - Ste 205, Houston, TX 77069. Office (281) 466-1530 Fax (281) 466-1531.
If all else fails, send an Email to rjohnson@conquestpetroleum.com. I have used it before & they responded both quickly & professionally.
After investigating this company for months...I get no answer. Last check I received was for $10.48 in 2010. I am trying to get the La. Conservation office to plug my well that has been there since the late 1970's. I do know that you can call their Marion office very early in the morning and they will answer. They say that they are down to about three workers. They say they are working on the pipes and it will be a while.
After no answer at all from the company, I am ready to get out of this mess.
Good luck.
Wasn't there an Axiom Minerals buying minerals awhile back? I think they were mentioned on this board? Same company or not???
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
