Thanks Skip. I did 26 years in the USAF starting in 1963. Retired on 1 Sept 1989. Worked in Aerospace Industry for 14 years and finally walked out of Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth in June of 1964. Now I am totally on the Government payroll. I wonder how long that is going to last, the Democrats keep whittling away at all the benefits.
Be thankful, William. The Republicans will cut your gov payroll and reduce any other entitlements that you currently enjoy. But I suspect you will not mind as long as it balances the budget. Be careful what you wish for..........you may get it.
Now we're going political with a thanks to veterans. So so sad.
What I find sad is the tendency for both parties to pay lip service to honoring veterans while they cut funding to the programs that support veterans and their families and fail to provide the full level of assistance that many disabled veterans deserve, The treatment of veterans by our elected representatives is sad. And voters are ultimately responsible for allowing those politicians to get away with it.
