The Louisiana chapter of the National Association of Royalty Owners is holding its annual convention on April 23 and 24, at El Dorado Resort Casino in Shreveport. NARO is an invaluable resource that promotes educational and networking opportunities for Louisiana's mineral owners. The annual convention would be a great opportunity for anyone who is just starting to learn about oil and gas to gain valuable education from the speaker's program, and it would also be a great chance for more seasoned mineral owners to network with each other and share valuable information as well.

The registration form can be found here. Anyone who has further questions about the convention can post them to this thread or send me a direct message. I hope to see plenty of fellow GHS members there!

Andrew I couldn't find any other NARO LA events/seminars scheduled for 2018 besides the convention next month in S'port you outlined above, are you aware of any additional @ this time?

Asking as I joined NARO last year, too late the attend the Feb? 2017 La seminar/event in Ruston but did make, enjoy & learn a few things @ the state meeting in S'port.

M B Gilster,

The April convention that will be held in Shreveport is the only NARO event scheduled to take place in Louisiana this year, at least that I am currently aware of. The national NARO convention will be in Denver later this year, and there are state conventions for each state NARO chapter as well. You can check out www.naro-us.org for a full schedule of all of the national and local NARO events that are coming up this year.

Thx for the quick reply Andrew & that is all I can find *event/seminar* wise for NARO La in 2018 as well.

Re. national NARO, I personally have some concerns w/ it's closeness to operators/producers etc. in the industry vs. long time royalty owners like myself but those concerns are not as strong w/ NARO La.

As the expression goes, YMMV seems appropriate here.
