Has anyone else recieved a letter from Ottinger Hebert, L.L.C. Attorneys at Law on behalf of Eagle Oil and Gas Co. I really do not understand all the legal wording, but it seems to me they are trying to force pool land in western sabine parish from the map they sent with it. It states there will be a meeting at the Best Western in Natchitoches at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 11th. Once again I do not understand exactly what it means, just wondering if someone could help me out with it. I can fax it to someone or try and post online.

Possible downside for mineral owners: land is HBP by only a few wells and developed slowly. Upside: more chances to share in production of a monster well.

I have not had much experiance with Toledo bend, but if what was said above is true, and much of these sections is underwater, this could be a way to keep surface locations onshore in the same unit as the entire lateral..... Just speculation....
These units seem to border the lake; they may allow bigger units along the lake because of the lack of a dry drilling location. A barge rig makes these wells not economical plus too much drilling in the lake.
I would be very interested in leasing your mineral rites , If you could give me more info I would be happy to converse with you my email is landbrokerscorp@gmail.com- info needed --parish and section -- and if you own 100% of mineral rites..
Thanks Micheal Wright
If i am understanding this correctly there will be no lease bonus for unleased land holders and Eagle can stop someone else from coming in and leasing your land.
They may offer a lease bonus. Until a well is drilled and producing, you can still lease to anyone.
Nudog, you can lease to whoever you want to lease to. Eagle has a lease from Blackstone Minerals et al on what looks like over 13,000 acres of International Paper Co. property in various sections in T8N-R14W, T9N-R14W, T9N-R15W, T10N-R14W and T10N-R15W.
Where have you been Two puppies - I have been struggling here!! LOL
Thanks Two Dogs, Pirate...
Sandstone, I have been behind the computer trying to cure land title problems just south of these units that Eagle formed.
Are you kidding me?????????? Stay with it!! I feel the ground shaking - landmen/women must be running!!!
Thanks Sandstone for that information. Makes me feel better. Please excuse my ignorance in all of this!!!!
You are welcome. Everyone is ignorant about this at some time or the other. I don't know very much myself but can usually get answers.
I don't know about 29. It doesn't seem to be included in Shell's unit. You might post that question on Sabine Parish board and someone there may have gotten a letter when they formed the unit or remember what was included.
