Parker:

Are you ACTUALLY equating Obama's policies with something that is good for the country. If so, there is very little (in politics) we can discuss.

Best,

Jay
Parker: This is where you make the mistake. Wishing President Obama is successful.

Do you really want him to be successful at:

Increasing the taxes of those who already provide 60%+ of the tax revenue and the majority of the jobs in this country? Increasing their taxes will cause them to stop creating jobs and provides no incentive to try and increase taxable revenue. It does, though, incentivize them into finding more ways to avoid taxes.

Success at banning the operation of private medical insurance?

Success at increasing the government's control over our everyday lives?

Confiscating over 50% of ones income to give to others?

Forcing banks to reduce the principle on someone's loan just because they were pigs and bought too big of a house? Or were too stupid to read a very simple loan disclosure form that outlined what their payments will be over the years?

Giving deadbeat mortgage holders all of YOUR money so that they can stay in a house that they CANNOT AFFORD while not giving you any help because you are following the rules and paying your mortgage on time an as called for?

Well, sir, I wish him total FAILURE in these areas. I hope his budget is caught up in a political firestorm and never makes it to a final bill. I hope filibusters await it. I hope the paper its written on self combusts. Get the idea? Why would anyone want someone/something to succeed that is diametrically opposed to the very principles one believes in? Nope. No success on these points.

In fact, I hope he fails so miserably in his budgeting and stimulus area that he resigns after 2 years.

Now, that's not the same as saying I don't want his national security initiatives to succeed. Protect our country and our borders (wish someone would!!) from attack. I like that and wish him well and he has my support...until he violates the Constitution.

Parker: this man who is our President is a huge danger for our Republic and our liberties. His fiscal policy is simply socialist. For that, I would prefer his failure. Huge numbers of people voted for him based on a) how well he spoke, regardless of the content...it sounded good! and b) his skin color. I could care less about either of those. I prefer to care about what goes on inside his head between his ears. And so far, I find nothing that I like other than his claim of a love for God. Since I can't test that, I'll give him that one. But all the other stuff, nope! He fails.
Well said.
We can all disagree but I really wish you'd think through this one some more. This program that he is pushing will lead to a disaster. The welfare, the taxation, all of that will destroy the very fabric of our country.
No me sister, I throw rocks like libs throw money fast and furious
parker - Yes, it is difficult for some to apply the "One finger pointing, 3 pointing back" analysis model. Some just want to keep sticking that one finger out for that #2 wolf to chomp on. Go figure? Best - sesport :0)
How about we recall every one of them and start over. A good old fasioned do-over.
The same should go for every item in the budget, lets have them vote on each item seperatly, if its good, it will stay, if not, then bye-bye.
That is what I can,t understand, how these people are put back in office election after election. It is time for a good house cleaning!!!!
If you look at the breakdown of how the "stimulus" money coming to LA is allocated 60% is going to people on public assistance.

We are burying ourselves in debt so Democrat constituency groups can get greased.

What a deal
Our system rewards politicians who bring home the bacon. It also creates an environment where voters are afraid to replace their congressmen with someone new, because they might loose clout.
