It's the excessive deficit spending of the Republicans over the past several years, starting way back to Reagan (who took this country into more deficit spending in the history of the world) that has caused our Dollar to be so weak, creating the rising cost of foreign oil, lost jobs, and the housing market slump.

So, fearing rasing taxes is only feeding the US to have a decling economic furture, leaving us more susceptible to foriegn influences.

let's review:

before bush took office: budget surplus, shrinking national debt, nation at peace, no soldiers being killed in useless war, economy doing great, dollar was strong, people buying and paying for houses.

with bush: budget deficit, soaring national debt, nation now in the middle of someone else's civil war, over 4,000 soldiers dead, stock market sinking, foreclosures, value of dollar cut in half, people moving out of houses because they can't pay the note, inflation the highest since 1980.

Clinton refused to take out Bin Laden when the Saudis were going to hand him over.....not to mention the CIA was pitiful..didn't even have updated maps and bombed the Chinese consulate..all on Clinton's watch.

Sounds like you should be screaming Obama/Clinton '08! Or would that just be too much for one country to be able to handle ?

One point that needs to be made is the fact that "W" , while not making the most of every situation, did have to deal with situations others wouldn't have had the guts to deal with. They probably would have run and cried instead of making the call that most would have never been able to make. After 9/11 things changed for everyone.Decissions were made , that while not popular, that had to be made for the security of our country. We may not be in the danger that we once were in.Is this because of freedoms that have been infringed upon? Possibly.Do I feel safer knowing that every measure available to us is being used to protect us? Absolutely!

When history looks back on "W" , he will be looked upon not in the manner that most of you would expect. He will be looked at as someone that had a huge amount on his plate and that got some real difficult stuff taken care of.
Not the boob that so many of you have grown to idolize from Arkansas.

Besides , if Bin Laden is on the next cabinet we would be able to keep a better eye on him ! Wouldn't that make us safer!!

You're right Snake, "W" has done a great job at keeping us safe....we have to take the fight to the Muslims..they want to destroy us, there is no room for Obama appeasement. Iraq is working and the terrorist are now moving back into Afghanistan becasue they are losing their foot hold in Iraq. We need to remain there to keep our thumb on the middle east. Let's Win this War; we don't need to cut and run like Obama wants. We are not a weak country..lets be proud.

"We are not a weak country..." Yes, but we are a muscle bound country. We can't fight poor peasants wearing black pajamas or head scarves. Who would you bet on in a fight? Muhammed Ali or Arnold Schwarzeneggar? Worse, with Bush we are not only musclebound, we are also stupid.
