Since it's a slow Friday on the GHS, and I have nothing better to do.
I got to thinking, lately some us having been using songs to describe our mood.
Songs can be a great way to describe you life without having to go into detail.
What song best describes your life.

That's very touching jan, thanks for sharing that with us.
You and your family are in our prayers.
Thank you for sharing your pain! I can assure you it is felt by others that truly care. Our prayers are with you also. So many times we think we have insurmountable problems, when all along, it is just a minor inconvenience. We must keep life in perspective and trust in our Lord. Take care and may God bless you and yours. cjf
Hey, ya'll don"t have to stop picking songs because of what I wrote!!Everyone has their own story to tell. I started to pick"Pissin in the wind" by jerry Jeff Walker. "Up against the wall you redneck mother" is another favorite of mine. I enjoyed reading your picks. don't stop.
Jan,

My all time must is Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffet. Anytime I get on the boat, I have to hear it.
It doesn't matter where I'm at, or how I feel. Once you play it, the party is on.
Never a bad time is right, I need to be living on a beach.
Buy us a place in Destin Florida Jim, Hell we can drink and fish all day.
Man, I love that place. I'm there in July, I'm just counting down the days, I fish about 10 hours everyday and I never get tired. Last year I got on a boat with 5 Alabama fans you talk about getting slobber knockered, them folks from Alabama know how to party.
Jim,

I had the best Captain in the world on this charter boat, I'll have to get the name for you. He liked to party as much as everybody else, funny, man was this guy funny. He puts us on some snapper that look like the one in AJ's picture. I ask the first mate about going out the next day, he said sorry man where booked all week. I said captain, I sure hate that your booked up all week, your the only Captain I ever fished with who like to have some serious fun. He said, just have your ass here in the morning son and be ready to fish. I said aye, aye Captain I threw the ole boy C note and was there in the morning, again we partied and fish for 10 hours. He said are you coming in the morning. I said hell no old man your the winner, I can't up keep with you, he just laughed. I don't care what anybody may say, when old people want to go they can go believe me.

Save all dem dare throats, specially them snappers too! A little tequela ( don't know if I spelled it right, don't take time to stare at the lable), italian salad dressing, tony's, worcherstire sauce and lime for marinade then chunck on the grill. Top off with your favorite beverage. Just don't get any better!
Jack,
I see you have been there before my friend. If you ever go to Destin, go to Harbor Walk Village and book a trip on the FINEST KIND, the Captains name is Tommy Browning. Then find you about 5 Alabama fans, start feeding Captain Tommy some Miller Lites and get ready for some fun.
I'll sure look into it DC. Thanks for the tip.
Here's mine. Alan does a nice job with this....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6x2dxCNI-M
Lyrics by Carole King, as sung by James Taylor ...

When this old world starts getting me down
And people are just too much for me to face
I climb way up to the top of the stairs
And all my cares just drift right into space

On the roof it's peaceful as can be
And there the world below can't bother me

Let me tell you now
When I come home feelin' tired and beat
I go up where the air is fresh and sweet
I get away from the hustling crowds
And all that rat race noise down in the street
Up on the roof

On the roof's the only place I know
Where you just have to wish to make it so
Oh, let's go up on the roof

Best to everyone, thanks for the thread DC - sesport
