Does Anyone Know of Recent Leasing Or Drilling Activity in Northeast Texas, Southwest Arkansas, Or Northwest La?

If anyone has any recent information or activity they can share it would be appreciated. We should not let a State, Parish, or County Line stop our information pool.

Comment by btj 3 hours ago The Tyler paper reported that Forest Oil had completed the T J Taylor 15T 10 miles south of Jefferson. It was drilled to 11,415', potentialed 150,000 cf in the Bossier Shale. Is this a viable well?
btj , thanks for your post. This was not drilled horizontal I assume, and therefore not completed in a way that would produce the most out in shale. The answer is yes it would provide around $650.00 Gross Income Per Day, which isn't a good well but better than none. The well will fall off after the first period of production, but hopefully the price will be up by then and help out. The oil company may also decide to go horizontal also at a later date. Tom Benet
Thanks Judy for the information. I encourage everyone to participate in the continueing to investigate and report leasing and drilling activity in the area.

I have just recieved the papers for all of my mineral rights in Titus County. In the past my grandfather had a lease with an oil company but they never did anything with the lease. Is there anyone who might know of anything gong on in this area? I have contacted the county clerk and done some research but will have to make a trip to Texas to research further or pay someone else to do it for me as they do not have much online. Any information at all will be most appreciated. Thanks
Shelly, I have a place in Bowie co. and it appears there is activity going on close to you. Go to Texas Railroad Commision and go to GIS viewer and locate Titus co. and you will be able to see existing wells and where wells have been pemitted. Jay
