Does anyone know if any of the companies are leasing right now in Red River Parish? I have a friend who just bought a house with 1 acre to lease and would like to know who might be leasing. Also, how much is the going rate right now?
Section- 30 Range 14N T 9W
Thanks,

Trisha, SONRIS shows J-W Operating and Empresa Energy, LP to be active in that township, You may get an offer from one of them. There are 17 permitted units in T14N R9W. There is probably no going rate at the present time.
Thanks for your info.
Trisha, I would suggest you contact Samson (5 Haynesville Units including Section 30, Forest (6 Haynesville Units) or EnCana (6 Haynesville Units).
Hi Les B,
Thanks for your help. She did talk with Samson yesterday and they offered $ 2,000.00. Just wondering, since they immediately offered that, if someone else might do better.
She will check with EnCana.
If not, I guess go back to Samson and BE HAPPY !!

Try talking up Samson, they probally won't start with the highest offer.

Do you know of someone she should talk with or call with Samson?
I really feel like the right person would come up, because they knew 2 women were coming to talk with them, they already had the check written for 2,000 and just knew she was going to take it.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
