Here are links to two maps showing some locations of Sabine Parish permitted wells. One is for wells below 10000 feet and the other is for wells to 9999 feet . I have also included some wells from DeSoto/Red River/Natchitoches parish that are below 10000 feet. Wells were mapped using well surface coordinates provided by the DNR from the individual well page. By using the satellite view, you can zoom in and check the location of the wells relative to your location. Not all wells are mapped yet, it is a work in progress.

Looks like another well has been permitted for the Converse Field. It is in S19-T10N-R13W - Petrohawk Seems like that part of the parish is hot.
I think our area would be good to dixie.....shame shell unitized this area .
Yes, I think our area would be good also. Shell isn't in a hurry to get things rolling here. With just 2 wells, the Murray and Olympia Minerals 26 (which is shut in), they aren't making much of a showing in Sabine. :(
SWEPI, is under the gun down around Belmont where they bought their first leases. There will be a bunch of stuff go down starting about a year from now. I think they are waist deep in pp, "P" for pressure and "P" for poison, in that area, we could also include another "P" for pipeline. "Big Woods" will be plugged. PPPP
Two Dogs,
One must wonder about SWEPI.... They have about 100 units in Southern DeSoto/Northern Sabine. How will they ever finish drilling all those in the next 2 -3 years? It doesn't seem possible, given their glacial pace, as well as their recent move up to the middle of DeSoto Parish. Does anyone have any ideas here?
Msfa, that seems to be one of the reasons for EnCana/Shell trying to bring in another JV partner for part of their acreage, primarily Sabine & Natchitoches Parishes.
Or they are gonna let it go because they got it at such a cheap rate per acre and the depths / pressure / rock stength are deeper / higher / and harder down in the southern region making drilling slower therefore increasing well costs!!
I honestly think cheaspeake would be at a disadvantage also. Audabon prior to haynesville era had leased a lot of land cheaply in mitchell-oak grove area. When haynesville was annouced cheaspeake worked this area hard. Shell may have the majority of the acreage in the sabine units but the cheaspeake acreage is fairly substantial. They paid more for their's. A lot to abandon!!
Just heard that one of cheaspeake wells blewout yesterday. Was it serial no. 238703 or 239443? Both are close to hwy 174 east of Mitchell in the Pleasant Hill field. Sure hate to hear about the bad luck......need to get the gas to market!
I see The Main page has a post about the cheaspeake well blowout. The post shows it was serial no. 239443 and was in the completion process. Sad indeed. Hopefully they will be able to get it back in control, and it makes a good well.
I have updated the map to show the TJ Sistrunk Well serial #239983 on the "Wells Below 10,000 Feet"
New Sabine Parish well permitted on July 13 added to map.
