WOW!!! What a story! And what a way to go out!

Let's see... Jay is related to a sociopath..., Jay's wife is related to a sociopath. Any offspring from this union?
you win...how bout a fender?
Nothing more than it is possible that Betty Porter got a knife in the head for double crossing either Jean Lafitte or John Murrell.
They wear small gloves!
Then my job here is finished!
Jay, a fender would be just fine. What a piece of history! I knew the Bonnie and Clyde story but I hadn't realized it happened so close to the shale area.
We live in section 36 and recently received an offer of $5,000/acre and 25% royalties (not "no cost"). A few months ago we were offered $18,000/acre and 25% no cost royalties. We were told we had to sign that day so we declined because we wanted to review the terms. Now they are back offering far less than before and claiming that they no long offer "no cost" royalties. We haven't signed and not sure we will. I would appreciate any input regarding this.
on a cost you could be paying ---compression,gathering,transportation and marketing on a haynesville well this is just my guess on what I am paying on other wells it could be in the range of 3000.00 per mo---other on this site may be able to give a better answer, but I am close
WOW last update on offers was in February??????? What is going on? I live in Central Florida, can someone update me? I am unleased. Thank you.
In the last few days a Petrohawk landman said all the companies had got together and decided that $5K was the most anyone was going to offer. FWIW, he was trying to lease deep rights for $5K that HK already had in 14N-11W.
Bacon,
I don't know if price fixing applies to leasing, but that is what it amounts to.
Yeah, might have just been his sales approach but found it funny that he would admit as much if it was true.
