Section 27, two parallel laterals spaced roughly 1/8 mile apart.

That would explain why so many of first wells drilled are on the edge of the sections. What happens in Texas with all the goofy shaped units?

Jay. The CHK Bray 34H - 1 is the first horizontal permit that I can recall with a lateral length longer than a section. The lateral length as permitted is 5534'. This area of the Bethany-Longstreet Field contains some of CHK's earliest HA horizontal wells. If I remember correctly, CHK mortgaged the original Bray well along with it's other 12 or 13 earliest HA wells for $500M.

Everything CHK owns is mortgaged to the hilt -- all over Oklahoma Counties -- everywhere.

shale Is 29 16n 15w the discovery well section? If it is how do you suppose it will be produced with its first horizontal running at an angle across the center of the section.
