Anyone else been contacted on a shoot just north of Ringgold in 9W? They want to get it signed pronto.

I think another aspect to all this is seismic spying! Some companies shooting monitor wells to "spy" seismically on what's going on in the "other operator's" area

KB ...I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this ... but if you could give me an example of what you are thinking ... I'd be happy to respond and clarify is I can.
What you may be hearing about is a process called microseismic and/or frac monitoring. Adjacent wells are used to monitor the frac process. It is usually used to monitor frac effectiveness , frac growth and frac direction during the completion process. It isn't done on every completion. It is on the up-and-up. Could this be what you heard about?
Since Petrohawk has applied for a Haynesville unit in section 9, does this indicate that they are the ones requesting the seismic? I know KB said other companies could be spying, but do they really spend the money on shoots when someone else owns the leases. Seems awful expensive when they do not have the rights.
I don't know anything of section nine, they were interested in 21, 22, 14, 15. Petrohawk has vertically TD and logged the LOE H15 well in section 10 , so I really don't see them contracting the survey for nine. I could be wrong , my understanding was a shoot on all of 9W. Leasing inquiry/interest is picking up for section 22.
we were contacted about a month ago to lease for the seismic survey for $25/acre. we are section 6,3 16n 5w.
I received letter "PROSPECT: Elm Grove 3D" PERMIT 2082, but I am not signing. Could anyone tell me if there have been any O&G leases signed for Laguna Beach, Sec 10, T16N, R10W. If so, which company?
Thanks
The testing is being performed by the Seismic company and others formed in a partnership as a way of making money. They will sell the information to other companies that are not in the partnership.
In my opinion it is in everyones best interest to get an agreement signed. The sooner they complete the survey the sooner more drilling will take place.
I would not sign for less than $25 / acre and I would add damage clauses such as no tree damage if you are growing small timber on your land.
