We received two notices of plans to unitize sections in T9N- R12W. One in November of 2007 for 16 units (9 were in T9N-R12W) and one in August 2008 for 25 units (6 were in T9N-R12W) for the purpose of drilling, production and exploration. The proposed units included sections 13,14,15, 16, 31, 32 (Aug 08) 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 34, 35, 36 (Nov 07). See attached diagram. Does anyone have information on other sections in T9N-R12W that have been unitized (or proposed to be unitized)? If so, please share so we can see how much of the township has been unitized? To my knowledge that is 15 out of 36.

Dixie, section 1and12 in t9n/r12w were also unitized back in November of 2007 in paperwork I received from Liskow & Lewis.
LB, thanks for the information I will update my diagram. That will make 17 out of 36 sections that have been unitized.
What bearing does this have on s36 t9n r11w?
It means that they are getting there, you are on the East side of Hwy 175. Have you granted a lease and to what company?

I was working on a lease when they decided to stop leasing. I called they said they would still sign me. My concern is if sign will I be the only one signing and what bearing will that have in my section. It would seem to me they would want more than my 50ish acres to make up the 640.
Do you think they stopped because too many were signing with different companies leaving gaps in the sections?
I have heard that Encana/Shell are going to concentrate their efforts on the West side of Hwy 175. This may or may not be true, it is just hearsay.
I would think they would have a plan with what they have unitized on the East side but since they have not leased you then you may be right about others buying leases around you. There must be something that is going to happen with the 6 new units that they formed in August, I know that some of those tract are leased at the hundred dollar figure so they may want to drill them first. Just hang in there because you are in a good position and it only looks like things are going to get better.
has anyone heard anything about sec3 t9n r11w
Save your shallow rights in any dealings with the shale players. You are in there, just don't get too fast in what you do.
Two Dogs, What is the importance of saving your shallow rights?
You will get two checks. One from the shalers and one from the shallow players..
We have a shallow well in T9N R12W sec 36 that was leased before the Hanesville boom. We were unaware of the comming boom and leased all levels. We now have a good producing Mooringsport well but the production company is getting the benefits of subleasing the deeper productions. Should the company that is doing our shallow production decides they want to lease around it for shallow production you need to have the rights to the shallow production so that that Chesepeake or one of the big boys doesn't get the right to sublease it. Should you lease the shallow stuff seperately remember that the lease amount on shallow production isn't anywhere close to what the amount is on the deep.
THANKS
