How long does the State allow an operator from first production to pay?

How many days do they have to get out Division orders and start paying royalty owners?

Louisiana law mandates that operator must pay UMI (unleased mineral owner) 180 days after sale. No such time frame for lessor. It's kinda like you've got a dance partner and they're leading.

When did your well go on into production? Better yet, what is your well number ? You will get better responses with more accurate info.
I've seen it take a year, waiting on title opinion.
August 13, 2009 first production Questar operator. Thanks for info
Hey Terry, Can you tell me a little more regarding the problem on the title opinion and how they can delay royalty payments. What is the best way to eliminate the problem? I already have a shallow rights lease, but not a deep rights lease. If they are paying royalties under the shallow rights lease how can they say there is a problem with the title on the deep rights?
I have property in section 07tn 16 r14 and found a well serial # 240273 has been drilled. It looks like they are waiting for pipelines. Does this mean that they did find oil? How long do you think it will be for an unleased mineral owner to get the royalties? Do I have to do anything, I have not been contacted by anyone. Any information is greatly appreciated!
It's a Chesapeake gas well. I'd look on their website for a contact number for "royalty owners" and call it. They did just complete it a few weeks ago so it might be several more weeks before they get it connected and start selling gas.
