I appreciate your response, the only problem is I am too Illiterate in this to understand the data in your two replies. Could you educate me a little? Thanks.
THE LEASES SPECIFICALLY IN SURVEY YOU ASKED ABOUT-M. D. White survey A761 ABOVE WERE ALL TAKEN BY CHESAPEAKE 6/12/2009 THROUGH 8/19/2009. THE GRANTEE=THE PERSON LEASING AND THE ACRES SHOWN 277 ACRES OR 160 ACRES
RBH, are you aware of any current plans to drill in the M. D. White survey?
Is this joining the Harvey Well off Highway 7 ? I think the White Survey is near that Harvey Well Survey and the John English and does it go all the way to FM 139 just North of Tenaha Creek at Ashton Hill (if anyone is old enough to have heard of that--LOL). That would pass (as the crow flies) down in the Lone Cedar Area. I may have an incorrect map visualized.
I don't know anything about the Harvey Well, this White survey is east of 139 right on Toledo Bend, abstract A-761.
Rodney, just wanted to let you know I have noticed some marker flags and survey crews on FM139 along the PW Harvey survey from A. Castleberry survey to Ashton Surveys. This survey adjoins and is west of MD White and my uneducated guess is that Chesapeake will be permiting that area for a well soon. I have not seen any road work or pad site construction yet, but will keep my eyes and hears open.
Etola, please let us know if you see any road work or pad construction in this area.
Since I posted this afternoon, I talked to someone who lives in that area and they confirmed that a well may be coming but on the left side of FM 139 when going north on USA land. I'm not sure about the survey but I think it is Carroll. They have been doing seismic testing along FM 139 from Castleberry to Ashton surveys. CHK has all that land leased and paid very good bonus $$$$ for it in 2008 and 09. I hope they drill a monster well! I have good friends who have interests there. I will keep you informed if I see anything worth reporting.
cicero, if CHK puts the well on nat'l forest land, I think it will be off CR 3378 and I am still not sure what survey that is. It is west of PW Harvey and east of J Myrick. Maybe it is GH Patterson. In that area, some of the surveys look like they overlap. Anyway, right now it is a rumor (I think a reliable one) because CHK has all the property around that area leased. I guess we will have to wait and see if and when they permit it and then we will know which direction they plan to drill. It could go east under Harvey and White or south under Davis, Castleberry, & Hammers. I saw the seismic crew working at the SW part of Castleberry today. Years ago 4 different operators drilled 4 dry holes south of where they were today. Of course, they were very shallow wells. I'll keep you posted. I know one thing for sure, CHK has a LOT of money invested in leases in this area!
