Chesapeake is only offering $3000 an ac. for individual lots in this Sec. Is there a group in this section that hasn't leased?

I also have property in Sec. 3 of 16/14. Any group in that area that hasn't leased?

Maybe it's time to consider forming the GHS South Caddo Mineral Owners Hold Out Group. The highest bonuses for urban neighborhoods in the Barnett Shale went to several homeowner groups with names like, "The Southern Hills Hold Outs". Just keep in mind that the groups must be location specific and limited to one or a small number of adjoining sections with members who own mineral interests that are very similar in nature. Inviting anyone and everyone to join is a sure means to fail.

We're out of state so the references to "Southern Hills" and other local areas means nothing to us. If you hear of anything developing in Section 9, including offers/inquiries or discussion of owners banding together, would appreciate your posting so we can alert attorney handling negotiations (or so we're told) on our collective behalf to get in contact or at least pay attention.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
