I think I hit the wrong button and did not post my discussion. The topic is unit designations for Sections 33 and 34, R17N T16W. Chesapeake had requested to form a 900+ acre unit of Section 34 and the West half of Section 33. A landowner with property in both sections protested to the State and hired an attorney to represent them. I have not seen the papers yet, but the State has made a ruling to go back to the section lines for the units that would now be 640 acres. I am not sure how this will impact adjacent Sections such as Section 32 and the small Section 31 of about 300 acres near the Texas line. These sections to the west have controlling interest by Petrohawk.
Bud - If you "couy" this post, then hit the "Edit" feature at the top of this page (in your topic box), you will be able to paste the above post into the discussion box. (If you want.)

At any rate, this sounds like good news for MO's in the affected sections.

Field orders have also been published to combine Sections 31 and 32 to form one unit of over 850 acres (Section 31 is the small section on the Texas line).
Hey Bud...any news on what's happening with sections 31 and 32?
I have not seen a permit for a well yet in that area. My mother has some area that is not leased yet in that area, but I think Petrohawk has most of it leased.
We're in the area too and are not leased as well. Kind of hard to figure out what is happening from afar. Thanks for the update!!
