There were no errors, I had the surface done only in 1986 by Security Abstract Company in Magnolia, Arkansas and I remember the lady saying that my grandfather still owned 1/2 of the mineral rights. I remember her saying "if one day they ever drilled for oil or gas on that property your grandfather descendants would be the benefactors"..... I just found a old oil & gas lease dated May 21, 1949. I was told nothing was ever found in the ares. But we know today areas that were said to be dry with the new technology there is either oil or gas..

My family also have 380 acres in section 29, township 19S,
And they have another 20 in the area of Walker School are they in that area it is south of Magnolia....

There was an article in today's Magnolia Banner News saying the companies drilling wells in south Magnolia, Columbia County was drilling for oil and not gas. I didn't read the entire article so if someone could post today's Magnolia Bannernews September 8, 2008 article on this site

Allen if one of these wells is permitted Horizontal, they are just looking for oil!!

I haven't heard of horizontals around North La. looking to produce anything but gas. But I guess they can get whatever out of one? Heard another lease today and this one was supposed to be from CHK on the Old PD road by the prison! Can't verify it even though it came from my cousin and he named the party involved.

Thats good! I have heard of a couple of leases down your way but too scared to post until verified!!!! LOL Just looking for oil!!! Ha!! Im kinda slow to catch on!!! You know us Arkansas people arent the brightest. Also I have some great news but cant post on here, We will get together soon and discuss it if you want!!!

I HAVE BEEN OFFERED A LEASE FOR LAND SOUTH OF EMERSON ABOUT 2 MILES NORTH OF THE LA LINE OF CAIBORNE PARISH. LEASE IS IN T19S R20W SECTION 30.
