EOG'S MORRIS JACKSON #1 PERMITTED AS TRAVIS PEAK--SHOWN BY GOODRICH AS DRILLING HAYNESVILLE
I drove through Chireno on the way back from "The Big Bass Splash" today. The Murray well still has the Rowan #33 on it. The new Atkinson well has a rig being set up. It looks like a big one. I could also see the top of a rig over the hill that must still be the Crane site. I apologize for the premature report. The Hassell #7 still has a rig as does Valence's Teuscth well. The Samson Silver Hammer appears to have been frac'ed a couple of weeks ago. This well is important to Samson and will help set their direction in the area. It is their first Haynesville.
We appreciate your reports.
Garrett.can you tell me the location for the silver Hammer? Just wondering if it's the one in plain view on 21 right out of Chreno. We are in the Martinsville area and just wondering how close we are. Through the woods and round the bend, isn't that how the crow flies? Or something like this. Anyway we could be through the woods.
Thanks for any info.
The Silver Hammer is the one at the Catholic School Rd. right on Hwy 21. The rig you are referring to is probably the Teustch, and was laid down today, 4-18-10. It was a vertical well and probably exploratory IMO, meaning I believe they are basically "mapping" (geologically) their leasehold in order to increase it's value (for a sale or bidder partner). It is not for truly "producing" gas and maximizing production. Again, this is only my opinion.
I enjoy reading your postings. I live in Chireno and the Crane well is close by my property. There is another well site close by Crane that is being set up. Chireno is booming!!!!! I can hear the Murray rig from my back yard. My family also have interest in the Hassell wells in the Blackjack area. JGarrett are you a regent at SFASU?
Kimberly, can you be more specific where a new well pad is being built near the Crane, thanks.
It would be on down CR445 past the foxhunters camp. They rocked the road on
Sat.
Thanks! I think that is the EOG Resource's ACLCO Unit permited last week. I have minerals in the old Jim Still farm east of there now, the "O-Bar" keep us posted!!
I went to the well site today and there is a rig set up there already. It came in really fast. My family owns the land across from the fox hunters camp which would be between Crane and this new site.
