XTO Going Deep In Southern Haynesville Shale In Texas

"XTO is moving further south into the Texas side of the Haynesville Shale play more and more as time goes on. I look for XTO to farmout or purchase leaseholds outright from others that have not yet developed their acreage position in Northern Sabine and San Augustine counties. It appears that ExxonMobile believes the reserves are great in this southern part of the play to let them continue to drill as much as they are. They probably will ramp up even more in the following months in the southern part of this great play."

Yes i have had a afford for 9500 acre for the lease but there is a another company looking at it for 10500 and i will probably take it. I can wait them out because i don't need the money

Jerry smith: do you have an OFFER or an AFFORD for your acreage? Big difference. If you have an AFFORD for $9500/acre I certainly would NOT take it. However, if you have an OFFER for $9500/acre I'd jump all over over it.

j.r. that could'a been me if it was Saturday or Sunday morning...
not defending JS, but it seems to me i recall him also saying he had several tracts in different states of leasing. i know a fellow who reminds me of a real life JS. if JS's initials were K.C. i am certain i would know him. he is a very unassuming type of character, who ,yes, has several tracts of land in different stages of leasing. i would also add he is a very unsophisticated guy, drives an old work truck, wears old dirty torn overalls and has a bank roll big enough to choke a donkey.
