Depends on the time of the month they receive it from you, but normally the next month.
Usually, one is kept two months behind.
I just received my Division Orders yesterday from Chesapeake. I had spoken with my analyst there on Monday and the orders were mailed out the next day, Tuesday the 26th. Coincidental? I don't know. She told me that I would probably have a check cut the end of August on the next run but was waiting for their payment from Encana. According to the Division Orders I received, it reads that if they receive the orders back by the 20th of the month, I will make this month's check run. If not received by the 20th, the next month.
Or you could be like me! LOL signed them last Dec got my first check yesterday, 63.86. I promised not to spend all at once. Of course I only have .69 of an acre and have the worst well yet! 20-11-15.
Hopefully, if and when Chesapeake drills a Middle Bossier well in this section, you may get a better well. The Haynesville wells in sections all around you are poor as well.
Foxiecajun,
Does anyone have any idea why Logansport turned out to be such a bust?
I wish the word of the bust would get out, that might make my job a bit easier.
Henry-- I assume you talking about the East Logansport area on La. side of river. The Logansport West has not been tested to date; however should know soon with Goodrich well that was spud 7 weeks ago the R Dean Hays #1 H (SL) drilling in lateral of Haynesville at present time then the #2H (SL) will be drilled to follow to be H into the Bossier formation. This well 1.8 miles West of Joaquin, Tx or 2 miles West of Logansport. Looks like the good core swings to the South of this area into the trough from more central Shelby into SSW Shelby, central and SE Nacgodoches County, NorthWest and central San Augustine and north Sabine County Texas
Adubu, do you still believe this or is it still holding true now (after seeing more of Dean)???? I know we have to W & S ( WAIT and SEE). People spend lives like that--we are always waiting for something!!!!!
Since yall are talking about division and royalties.....we have a well with Petrohawk in webster. It went online May 1st. We havent received any royalties or division orders. The lease says the first royalty payment must be there in three months. So three months in tomorrow and we havent heard a word. Is this normal or abnormal or is there a normal in this shale business. We are happy to have a good well, but would love to know what and when? Thanks if anyone has insight. Thanks ....ch and dh
Cyhaynes---It's time to call or email royalty interest department with Petrohawk ( you can find contact info on their website) and ask about division orders. They may say some reason like problem with title opinion on minerals in unit ,etc. But it's time to ask for reason.
I thought the same thing. Do they pay interest if the payment is over the designated time in our lease. We feel we have a good lease and know we are dealing with a good company. We were under the impression that division orders should have been sent during this three month time frame. We will get in touch with them tomorrow. Thanks so much. This is a good reason to have this site. CH and DH.
