OK, CHK landman is telling me that there is a Haynesville well drilled in N. Shelby County, but he does not know if it is producing. Can anyone verify anything about this well please?

Check out the McSwain #6 by Devon. I think it's permitted to 15,000', vertical. Couldn't they revise and go horizontal later?
Yes, they can amend the permit and go horizontal or re-enter later and go horizontal. I think what you'll see in areas where there are no other existing deep wells is that some vertical wells will be drilled, tested and produced for a while prior to going horizontal. The data gathered will only help as they move into the horizontal phase.
That's good to know Mark, gives us something to be watching for then.

No production data yet. BUT, a righand told us last week that it was a very good well.
I have been following some of these interesting items.
Where do you go to get the 'status reports'. I would like to learn more about the new Devon well, being drilled at this time in the Powdrill Unit, Wesley Hill Survey, West side Shelby County. I understood, that they were going deep. Neighbors Rig 773 I think. If anyone can help me learn more about this. The Powdrill #1 is about 2 years old, and is producing but not good.
Eat Beef, the info above came from the RR comm. website. In addition the East Texas Drilling report that Charmine gets from the Tyle paper websit has shown the McSwain No. 5 to be producing 1.1 mcf per day. Those wells are in the G. Goss survey in SW Shelby Co. Devon is the producer.
OBENCO HAS A WELL JUST NW OF STOCKMAN FIELD THAT IS SUPPOSEDLY COMPLETED IN HAYNESVILLE. NO LOG RELEASED AS FAR AS I KNOW.
What survey? Any other info?
Has anyone heard anything lately about the Lane GU #1H just west of Tenaha?
Have you checked the East Texas Drilling Report on the Tylerpaper.com website?
drove out there today to snoop around. said they were around 9,000 feet, and have not turned horizontal as of yet. also there was another well pad about a 1/4 mile before it drilling.
