I agree Danny, both of your post are accurate!
could you send me a link to that information? Pat
Updated messenger well on sonris lite:

10/03/08................POTENTIAL RECEIVED IN DIST OFFICE-WAITING ON OPER TO SUBMIT COMPLETION PAPERWORK

it seems as if they will come up with anything to prolong the data on this well. funny.
Pat, If you gain access to the Chesapeake map link, post it here

If you look under the second presentation, there are some maps there showing portions of Natchitoches Parish highlighted. This might be what you're looking for. The only thing, though, is that this map does not show activity in some parts of Sabine that I hear has had some activity.
Grayling, I wouldn't put much stake in that portion of Chesapeake's map since they do not have access to the latest EnCana/Shell well information in Red River, Sabine & Natchitoches Parishes. Now if it was an EnCana map that would be another matter. Recently EnCana stated they felt Red River was near the north-south center of the Haynesville Shale play.
anadarko has staked several locations near the allen powhattan area. the first one will be drilled near the allen exit. a new rig that is being built will be here in january.
I have a friend who went to the Encana meeting recently. The meeting included discussion on the Messenger well. I was told that the well will produce 5 million cf with a pressure of a few thousand pounds. EnCana said that they will drill one well on 6 more sections for now and they will all be vertical. This is interesting news! This is all I know, but it came from EnCana. Vertical wells are much cheaper than horizontal wells, but apparently they are very satisfied with the production from the first well and with gas prices down, it will be economical for them to drill vertical. They have staked to more wells around Powhattan and north of there. This will be Anadarco wells!
Pat,

Good to here from ya. Have you heard anything on Encana leasing anymore in Natchitoches Parish. I know everything is on hold now, but I figured once they get to drilling a few more wells, and the price of ng goes up a little, then they would be leasing again. I would say next year sometime. Also, its good to here Anadarko is going to start drilling. Maybe they would be interested in leasing once they get the drilling going in Powhatten. I remember when you were working on getting land leased in 10-8. What is the status on that?

THanks again for all your information.
Thanks Les & Caroline,
It sure would be nice to see Encana's map of the southern parishes.
This is the information finally released by Encana:

FYI the test results are as follows:

Gas Flow Rate - 4,790 thousand cubic feet per day (Mcfd)
Water Flow Rate - 100 Bbls per day
Flowing Pressure - 3600 psi
Choke Size - 14/64"
Perforated Interval - 13346' to 13817'
George, my name is Paul Davis, can you tell me more about this partnedrshiping with the drilling companies. I mhave 10-11 acres in the town of Powhatan. Would that be enough land to attract a venture?
