Can one of you local guys take a look at the C Hereford survey (Section A-17)? I met with a landman (landlady?) yesterday when my mother-in-law signed her lease, and the landlady said that a pad is being cleared north of 103, about 1.5 miles east of 705. This will not be on the road - maybe 3/4 mile north of 103. Encana should be the one getting ready to drill.

I know they have a Temple tract just west of my house and that is just about five miles from the Jasper Co. line at Brookeland. That's pretty far south. Will they drill that far south? Who knows.
Someone let us know when a rig shows up on this pad.
That is the same rig used on the first well.
I was in the area today, and checked up on Rowan #86. Took a couple of pictures below. I tried my best to find the A-17 pad site. I drove on lots of dirt roads that went nowhere. I can see on TRC where the pad is supposed to be, but I could not see it. Maybe someone else knows how to get to it (Julie???)

I don't know, Steve. I know one of the guys who hauled the rock for the pad but I haven't been able to catch up with him to get good directions.
Someone told me you get to it off of FM 1751.
The directions I did get, from someone who lives nearby, was that you go down 1751 from 96 and "turn on the NEW ROCK road" to the right and just follow the new rock. I then drove 1751 from 96 to 103 and didn't see the "new rock" road.

The rock hauler also told me that they were going in from 96 but, they must have been picking up the rock from up that direction, I'm guessing. He said it's still another 3-4 miles from 1751 to the pad location.
Ah the mystery pad. Who will find it? I was there a couple of weeks ago and didn't find the road either. I am thinking the rock road may be north off 103 not to far down 1751 on the left.
anything for Z Redmond A-36?
