Hi All! Just a few questions that I hope you can answer for me! Has anyone been approached to lease in this area? If so, by who? What are the terms they are offering? Did you sign? I would like to get in contact with any Un-leased mineral owners and share any notes: present or future. Just for the record, we have NOT YET been approached, but I know we will in time! Go Sweetspot! GO San Augustine! R.

We are in the same area...down the street from the Chiquapin Baptist Chruch!! Have you heard anything yet?
hi annette! no, we have not been approached yrt..but when the MONSTER SITE rowan 59 comes in, we all better get ready....not taking anything less than 5000/25%.....don't you agree?? good luck to us all! by the way, we r getting the 24 in. pipeline on our back acreage.....just the survey now...no, we haven't neg. cost there either!
Hi Ronda and Bruce! We were offered that a couple of years ago...then everything stopped! 5000/25% with no production cost seems about right. Go on the RRC's Public GIS Map Viewer...the close well is (405-30195) J. Simms Survey. Their are so many companies in the area...it is very confusing!!!! Keep in touch and Good Luck Yall!!!!
Annette, are you close to that well? Are you aware that it's been re-permitted as a Salt Water Disposal Well?

The well to watch is 405-30383 in the C. Hereford Survey, A-17. It will determine whether owners in the Chinquapin area will recieve future lease bonuses anywhere near what you are talking about. I don't mean to rain on your parade but those offers were made in the 2008 leasing storm and it will take really good wells in your immediate area to incite anything close to those figures going forward.
Hi jffree! We are off of 103 FM 1751...not far from the Chinquapin Baptist Chruch...we are in the J. Simms Survey A247...it use to be my Grandmothers property (Dickerson) and also Ainsworth was my Grandfather! All of my Mom's family is from that area! Where are you from? If you don't mind me asking...if so I am sorry!!
No, I don't mind. I am in South Sabine County. I have friends on 705 (south) and we are all watching the new well in A-17 with great interest.
jffree1 how long do you think it will be before they release production numbers on the A-17 C. Hereford Survey well? I know they just started drilling. About how long has it taken on Encana's previous wells? They aren't very fast at releasing numbers are they?
LOL!! You better settle down there J. It could be 4-6 months before we know anything.

BS A-43 spud in early Dec. '09 and finished up drilling in mid-March. They never announced the well but put it on their CAAP presentation in June.

BS A-398 spud in March after the A-43 was finished (same rig) and took about two months to drill. They still haven't reported it either but maybe they will put it on a presentation somewhere. We'll have to watch for that.
That's what I was thinking. haha..it might take forever. I guess if they start trying to lease up land around that well before the rates are published that might be a indication it is a good well.
Yep, that would be a good indicator and new well permits, as well.
I wish you all the best! I just hope something happens while my Mom can enjoy it...My Aunt says its coming, it's just a long process!! Keep in touch and if I here anything about your area, I will let you know!!
I hope you get your wish, Annette. It probably is coming to your area unless they have poor results from the A-17 well. But the hurry up part has passed. We are now in the "... and wait" phase, LOL!
