I just got back from NW PA and drilling in W NY and N PA is on going. But there is a huge problem with obtaining enough water and an even bigger issue of where to dispose of water. It is clear to me that both states desperately need to create pooling, create disposal rules, and agressively enforce them. Otherwise, there is going to be a huge mess up there.  Already a number of companies have been fined over allowing improper disposal...trying to dump in local municipal waste systems that are not designed to handle salty water...

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
