Any statute of limitations in TX on erroneous DO resulting in 20% underpayment?

Thanks Ben for providing me with my statute of limitations education.  I thought it was amazing that my 30 day letter took us right into the 90 day waiting period to file suit (required by our lease) and the 90 days ended exactly on the four year statute limitation. Could not have planned it better if I had tried. Sonerra finally did the right thing so I have no complaints about them. The error was a mistake, nothing more, and they sent checks to my brother and cousins without them asking. Good ending. :)

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
