Agreed.  I have another well about 5 miles away from this one and it is paying towards a $1 more per mcf.  The sad thing about it is, I would be getting paid by EnCana and SWEPI like my other well, but I leased to Chesapeake and they had decided to participate in the Jimmy Ray Brown well.....so I get paid by them.  But let me say this, I am appreciative to God for everything I have received and feel blessed because I never expected any of this.  So, I will choose to remain grateful and look on the upside.

On an additional note, I do not understand how the gas companies can still be adjusting you current month payment by adjusting your prior month figures by price and volume.  Makes no sense to me.

I too did not expect any of this to ever happen to me.  It is truly a blessing from God, and just like you, that is how I choose to look at it.  I know I am one of the lucky ones, and I thank God everyday for this wonderful blessing.  I just wish Chesapeake would do like all the other operators and sell "our" gas on the open market instead of selling to their affiliate at a much lower price.  That would put all lessors on the same playing field.  That's the right thing to do!

From a few points-of-fact I pick up, these actions

 (buying--re-selling, ad profitum),

may constitute "Daisy-chaining"---

one of the tactics of choice during the 1971-81(January 28)  price controls.

Old gas--oldold gas,  OldNew gas, ... New Old Gas,...

the Game was played

... but I Was a Young Gasser during those Bad Old Days...tossed in the Waves.

Client is finishing details on his new BASS BOAT, for Black lake.

24 foot, pontoon Party Barge.

He wheels and I deal.

His lease has been extended... my concurrence...IANAL....

He has Spring fever; IMHO... Gas fever?
