Hey all,

I'm a student at the University of Texas and I was hoping for a little help. In the next few weeks we will be discussing Corporate Social Responsibility and I thought discussing hydraulic fracturing would be a highly debatable topic that could engage the entire class.

Do any of you know of great articles that present a valid argument for fraccing, as well as, a valid argument against fraccing?

I'm hoping to find information that supports both positions to allow my peers to read the articles and develop opinions based on their beliefs. The goal is to develop a case study.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

While you wait for members to suggest articles that fit your criteria, you may wish to review some of the site discussions concerning hydraulic fracture stimulation.  They run the gamut from pro to con and reasoned arguments to hysterical fear.  Use this link:

Start with the EPA/Range Resources/Texas Railroad Commision Hearing and work backwards from there.  Stay away from biased sources on both sides of the argument.  The Wall Street Journal has published many articles about shale gas and fracing.
Thanks for the help.
