Lighthouse Point L.L.C. anyone?

We have received an offer to buy 12.5% of our mineral rights or 1/8 of the total 8/8ths from "Lighthouse Point L.L.C." whose address is "1 Foliate Way, Radera Ranch, CA 92694."  We like the fact that without hesitation they agreed to our asking price.  Problem - I cannot find anything online to verify any such company at all and not at the address given.  I cannot find a BBB for Radera Ranch.  Has anyone had any dealings with them?

92694 is the zip code for Ladera Ranch, Ca.  Google Earth found the address to be what appears to be a large residence.

In Texas you can search for business entities registered with the Secretary of State.  I would imagine that California would have a similar office.  That type of search should turn up, at the very least, who registered the company with the state.  That would give you two items to search with the BBB.

Excellent advice, Jay.  Would you leave the "engineer hiring" to the attorney or would that be something you would do apart from the attorney?
