I thought the attached G-1 and G-5 would be interesting to some folks.  G-1 has the completion information - looks like acid fracs and therfore the target is the limestone formations.

24 hour production is 479 bbl of 42.8 API gravity condensate or oil.  1179 bbls of water with that.  Note this is a vertical completion across multiple, thick zones.

Maybe I need to get Joe Aldrige to look at this, but it looks more like what he describes as TMS rather than Eagle Ford Shale.  Any other thoughts?

Thanks, jffree,

Remind me to give you a birthday bonus

LOL, you're welcome but we both may forget about the bonus before October... so any time that suits you will do fine.

ALL,

I am hearing that XTO has started building a pad out near Pennington/Fodice but I have NOT seen it yet

Also discovering that the same people working for Western Chief in Houston Co. are also involved in a company called Ranger Investments out of Longview Tx.  ----- nothing illegal here --- just interesting as those connections are also becoming involved in happenings in Houston Co. on an individual level.

I heard they were building a road to the XTO site.  Don't know about the pad.  road is supposed to be very long

XTO has 300+ acres leased from us about 2-3 miles due south of Fodice (just inside of the Trinity County line) but I have not heard or seen anything.  Lease is due to expire in 12 months.

Vernon,

Check Houston co. TRRC W1 ----- XTO permitted a well a few months back in your neighbor hood and then  amended it a week or so ago ----- click on the Tx flag and a map should open or open the plat and get the lat. long. info and type in google map. Sounds like this one may be near you.

Thanks for the tip.  I did just as you instructed.  That puts it due north of us by nearly 4 miles.  We are in the J. S. Ward Survey.  Plenty far enough not to effect us at this time.  I am hoping they will let the lease expire so we can re-negotiate the terms that were agreed upon by the previous owners.  But then there is something to say about the worth of "a bird in the hand".  :-)

Vernon,

Work on XTO road/pad appear to be hopelessly mired in MUD ----- it looks like they plan on crossing Whiterock Creek and bottom land to get to that pad ----- This will be one of those things that you throw warm sunshine at   NOT $  ----- Hope I am wrong about this but if I am not, the drilling crew should be prepared to be MAROONED if it floods.

NOTE --- DBOB has posted a good map in a new discussion (here on district 3) that is worth taking a look at as it gives a peak at what is to come as the play moves east also shows a little insight how our leases are blocked up and marketed.

I hear XTO may be drilling for Smackover. Just an industry rumor.

That's on the China side of the middle of the earth down here isn't it ?  lol   --- Is this the same formation they call Brown Dense up North Boscoe ? ---- Guess it will take the largest Land Rig they can find.

I heard Norphlet...  ;)

THAT'S BELOW THE SMACKOVER DBOB !!!  ----- 5 MILES DEEP  ------- EXTREEEEMLY  HOT TEMPS -- H2S no doubt ------ Probably has a greater density than steel --- Rock bottom gas prices ----- Must be a Government inspired project   lol
