Anyone have any idea how many acres one of these wells could drain? They are drilling horizontal CV and Gray sand wells in north Louisiana, wondering how many wells per section it will be.

Gray Sand horizontals? Where? Havent seen any of these.

My bad, somebody told me they were permitting horizontal Gray in Terryville but I don't see any indication of horizontal.

But, still wondering what will be CV spacing.

Horizontal CV wells are allowed on 80 acre minimum spacing.  Same as HA horizontals.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
