**rumor**

525 bopd and rising

Also heard that SWN was planning on recompleting the Roberson well at the higher portion of the the Brown Dense which is the same level the Garrett well was completed.

Can anyone confirm?

For those of you who don't know, this thread is the equivalent of the National Enquirer. Rumors only and no hard facts. Please don't make any financial decisions or any other important decisions based off of any of my posts. This is just information that I'm hearing from sources who have been correct in the past but it doesn't mean they are correct currently.  Now I'm about to take the intel to the level of the Weekly World News or Coast to Coast AM.

The newest rumor is that the SWN insiders believe this play will eclipse the Eagle Ford Shale.

Again, I'm just sharing what I hear. All of these "leaks" could simply be for the purpose of giving the SWN guys a good laugh. I hope we'll find out soon.

BTW, I will be just as dissapointed as everyone else if all these rumors aren't true and this thing is a bust. I guess I'll just go back to farming trees and working for the man.

I enjoy following this web-site and glad you are sharing what you hear.  I will admit the first time I ever bought SWN shares I did so based on a rumor I heard (not on GHS) that the Atlanta well was producing 1,100 bpd; found out after I bought my stock that most was frac water!  But the next time I bought shares I did so because I am in this for the long haul, and think eventually even gas will pick up.

Keep the rumors comming!  I equate them to buying a lottery ticket....I don't buy the ticket because I think I'm going to win, but it allows me for a few days to dream about what I would do if I won hundreds of millions of dollars.  Same here.  Not doing anything drastic after hearing the rumors, but it sure is fun to dream about how good things could get if they are all true!

Maybe a few people are beginning to believe the rumors, as SWN stock is up over 3% today. Of course, every time I comment on this the stock takes a reverse turn. [I know it would take time for SWN's bottom line to be affected directly, but I've got to believe a major find would still cause a bump in the stock, for psychological reasons.]

OK girls and boys! I have been reading GHS for 3 years now and have not said a lot. I thought I would throw this out for the Arkansas people.

I have a friend who was my dads oil man back in the 1950's. He is still in the business today. He says they will put six wells down in every section in Arkansas. So...if you have been calculating dollars on one well just think what six wells will do for you.... Just like what was said above, it sure is fun to dream BUT don't start spending any money yet.

I had a company out of Longview, Maverick I believe, sent me a check in the mail for my mineral rights. All I had to do was sign the bill of sale and deposit the check. I wonder how many people they got to...

As we are all only talking about rumors/what we've heard, Roger did you mean you heard six wells per section or six wells per township? My hope would mean townships instead of sections since there are thirty six townships per section. I too, like others, are hoping all I can that this becomes reality, in my/our lifetime. Sooner is quite alright with me.

I had heard up to six well per section also. If it starts paying things should get interesting.

Clay,

You've got that backwards. Sections are in a township.

David please post SWN's hedge position for 2012.  I could only find 2011.

I'll try to find the numbers after work.  My recollection is that they are 47% hedged for 2012 which compares favorably (given the price drop) with 2011's 52%.  In 2011 I think it boosted income by $300M.   I think it was for 250BCF in '12 and 185BCF in '13.  Of course, if prices were [somehow] to continue dropping, it is eventually going to be problematic for them, but they did pretty well on hedged positions in '11.  Obviously, they'll do less well in '12 and '13, but given the extent of the decline I think they've done reasonably well.

The ability for all energy companies to hedge natural gas has eroded rapidly over the last two years.  2012 and 2013 positions could be crucial for SWN.  I'll look forward to seeing the hedge prices and the volume covered.

726mcfd sold at $5.17 for 2012

507mcfd sold at $5.06 for 2012.

Roughly 50% of 2012 production, 35% of 2013.
