I thought the attached G-1 and G-5 would be interesting to some folks. G-1 has the completion information - looks like acid fracs and therfore the target is the limestone formations.
24 hour production is 479 bbl of 42.8 API gravity condensate or oil. 1179 bbls of water with that. Note this is a vertical completion across multiple, thick zones.
Maybe I need to get Joe Aldrige to look at this, but it looks more like what he describes as TMS rather than Eagle Ford Shale. Any other thoughts?

Navidad has been doing much drilling on Eastham so Kitrell is very close by so it would be a good bet that area will draw interest
Reportedly Devon has started a pad site about 3 mile SE of Crockett on 287 near the "Cook" wells so watch W1 for a new permit by Devon in HC --------- this is the location of the famous Conoco Cook Well that blew out 25 years ago with a huge fire that could be seen from Palestine ?
OK, guys... it's way too quiet over here. Anyone get too much rain? No drive-by reports this week?
Power out in Lovelady for the last day - local reports of 6+ inches rain. Road washed out in Grapeland to the north, out of drilling area. Abbey road probably has to be accessed by boat.
New ZaZa permit in Walker County - Still drilling on Stingray
Thanks, dbob. Maybe XTO will pony up for a dingy an aquatic support crew and equipment to transport human assets in and out.
6.6" rain in Austonio area -------- flaring on "Frank Smith" this week has lit up the night sky ----------- Reportedly 12 - 15" rain in Grapeland ----------- Abbey Road may need a Rig Boat ?
Ok guys another question about tanks. What does a taller and smaller dia. tank indicate to you fellows? Guessing a height of 50 ft. and a dia. of 20 ft. beige in color. This tank does not have any, what I think should be water & oil tanks in place as yet. Thanks as always.
The new well is North off the OSR on FM 1119 and East of Midway about 5 miles on the OSR in Madison County. Right off the OSR about 11/2 to 2 miles heading North on FM 1119 on the left hand side of the road. API # 313-30938. They just pulled down the rig a week ago. Thanks Lucky for the reply.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
