Don't forget that SWN will be presenting today, Monday, April 15, at the IPAA Symposia in New York. The time is 2:20 pm CDT, and there will be a webcast. Also, Whiting is presenting at the same event at 9:30 am CDT. The Whiting webcast can be listened to at their site: www.whiting.com

Did you notice that all of the upcoming presentations have the webcast included?  For some time now, it has been about every fourth or fifth one that may have a webcast, maybe they have something to say...

I wonder who makes that decision. Is it the company or the organization putting on the presentation?

I don't know, but your right, it could be just the list of presentations coming up, and not from SWN itself.  I guess we will have to listen in and see what they have to say.

Sounded good to me. Now the economic threshold is 350 bbl on a 10 million well. He seems to think the 10 million is achievable. They must be ok we the decline.

I agree Tony. Mr. Mueller seemed to think the key to more production is to increase the vertical frac height. I hope they can do this without getting into the water above or below.

Obed, It sounded to me that Mueller believes the wells can be economic with either 25 ft. more of frac height or reduce the cost to 10 million. I think he believes they can do both. After all, they have only drilled and fracked a few wells. They will improve on the frac as they learn and he said that they can get to the 10 million cost by reproducing their best efforts on certain intervals from each well. Looking at their Fayettville wells, in 2008 they were drilling 3600 ft laterals for 3 mil. and by 2012 they drilled 4800 ft laterals for 2.5 mil. That's a 33% increase in lateral length and a 17% decrease in cost.

Well......it's April 16.........and....... ????

What's the significance of April 16th? End of first quarter?

....the day after the April 15 presentation ?
