I thought the attached G-1 and G-5 would be interesting to some folks.  G-1 has the completion information - looks like acid fracs and therfore the target is the limestone formations.

24 hour production is 479 bbl of 42.8 API gravity condensate or oil.  1179 bbls of water with that.  Note this is a vertical completion across multiple, thick zones.

Maybe I need to get Joe Aldrige to look at this, but it looks more like what he describes as TMS rather than Eagle Ford Shale.  Any other thoughts?

Merriweather located between Rattlesnake and Austonio on west side of hwy 21 ----- planned 3 phase line was to be just an "upgrade" to existing lines coming from Porter Springs (East) and going about 5 miles to the West to "Jackson"

Most rural electric line consist of 2 wires (a ground and a positive) while 3 phase has to have at least 3 lines with multiple positive lines ---------- Heavy duty industrial motors have to have 3 phase ------------ if someone here is an electrical engineer please feel free to correct me or add to this conversation.

I do not know details of lawsuit but have heard that Trivium was trying to evaporate some of the salt water with about 6 very large fans while spraying the S water into the air ----------- landowner claims that the fans were blowing it out of the open pit ?  ------------ 3 phase was needed to run these huge fans plus a down hole lift pump so  the suit probably put the project on hold pending the outcome of suit etc.

Personally I thought evaporation pits went out 40 years ago but Dbob can probably tell us more ?

DH, I am no electrical engineer but 3 phase has an extra phase called a wild leg so it has 3 different phases of electricity. A normal house has 2 different phases of 110 volts. You get 220 volts by combining each of the 2 phases.

Has potential, but their sales folks will tell you you have to control drift.  Don't really think they are useful until you get past I-45.....  Too much rainfall.

TOO MUCH RAINFALL ?        WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? dbob

Just don't think it works well, unless the scale is pretty big or you are pretty far west.

I have worked with Terrace/Trivium for a little over a year now and I am familiar with the Swift location you have been talking about. We have been working with the neighbor across from the Swift location for a while now and I believe the law suite rumor is incorrect. I have heard the same rumor in the field but I am in contact with Terrrace's upper managment and landowners on a regular basis and I do not believe that there is a law suit against Terrace/Trivium.

The following question was posted on Mineral Rights Forum:

"Has anyone heard that two seismic companies are coming to Houston County?"

I know that there was a lot of 3D seismic shot a few years ago when operators were starting to chase the deep Bossier, but just thought I would pass along this question in case anyone has heard something similar.

Haven't heard that as of yet, Chuchwagon....but maybe, if they do head there, they will get lost and come a little bit South to Walker County...that little area just across the river from the big part of Walker County we call Kittrell and and shoot a few maps!  It would be nice to see a little activity besides the big tanker trucks running up and down the road!!!

Hello All,

Looks like 5 new permits for Brazos Co. 2 for Madison and one for Leon  (All Horizontals ) none for Houston co. this week  ---------- hearing that the salt water drift off of the evaporation pits with fans has really done a number on the surrounding trees and vegetation on the "SWIFT" well in eastern Leon co. ?   Also hearing that Interstate is moving forward with their gathering system asap  --------- 14 frac trucks reported on Devon "Cook" earlier this week

Noticed a nice flare on Devon this week.

Are regular tanks in place?

Snoopy had the following comment on the attached photo:

"DEVON pad shows apparatus that may be a salt water dispersing tower - that will kill the weeds and everything else. Cheaper than hauling. Bet the Electric Power Transmission tower-Line Co will have accelerated corrosion issues this far from the coast."

What do you folks think?

The Lithium Connection to Shale Drilling

Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…
