Does anyone know why Stone is trying to sell their leases in the TMS? How is  the drilling activity(if any) in Wilkinson County?

Seeing Wells,

Go 5.4 miles due west from Woodville MS and you are in the general area of the permit. Other than the lat and long I don't know how to better describe the location.

Forest Creek 20-7H Well No. 1-On the docket of the MSOGB for May 15th, Goodrich has filed a petition for a permit to force integrate 974.1 acres located in the South one-half of Section 7 and all of Section 20, T2N R1E of Wilkinson County, MS. Legal news - Woodville Repubican on April 25th. Wilkinson Co. now has 5 permitted wells-six if you count this one.

Cavin 11-2H Well No. 1-On the docket of the MSOGB for June, Goodrich has filed a petition for a permit to force integrate 1306.0 acres in Sections 2 & 11 T2N R1W of Wilkinson County, MS. Legal news – Reported in the Woodville Republican June, 2013.

Activity seems to be picking up in Wilkinson Co. We just need more players and rigs.

Charles, thanks for the good information.  One question, is there any decent map, besides what is on the MSOGB website which I have found very difficult to use, that might show the location of this well and or others in Wilkinson county?

We have some scattered minerals there, mostly in T2N and a few others scattered about.  There are some we own in Sec. 8 T2N R1W, and I am trying to figure out how close these are to this well going in.

Has anyone heard of more mineral leasing interest in Wilkinson county?

Craig, I do not have the a better location descriptor until the Miss O&G Board issues the permit and it gets posted to  the Miss O&G Board site(difficult to use). You may want to order a map from USGS or go to this site. Do you have Google Earth program? Can you use Google maps? Here is the site I use:

Good luck

Wow, thanks Charles I appreciate it.  That helps a lot.  I am out of the country so using google earth sometimes is not the best due to the speeds of the intrewebs.

That is interesting to say the least.  These units sure are big compared to other locations.  I wonder when there will be the first multi-well unit going in?   Do any of you all think other companies besides Goodrich and EnCana will get active in Wilkinson county?

I will say yes.  The link is to a map of unleased mineral rights that Amelia Resources is selling.  It is 64,000 gross, 37,000 net acres with the vast majority of the acreage located in Wilkinson county.  Last week at a conference Goodrich said that Amelia had received a couple of acceptable bids for their acreage.

I don't think your link made it.

Eric,

Here is a map from Goodrich's latest report on the TMS. It shows sections and the yellow is the areas they have leased. Looks like your section 8 is right on the edge of leased property.

It worked for me, but if you go to AmeliaResources.com and then click on the tab "drilling prospects for sale", you can find a map of the leases for sale.

Morning

Does anyone out there have updates on progress of Horseshoe Hill wells (other than the first two 17H and 18H)? When they will be fracked? Enjoy your fourth of July!
