Our lease with CHK is up in December, hope some other company makes an offer. Wondering if they did, could I make my own stipulations regarding my portion of a lease?
If our lease with CHK is up in December, with the 2 yr option to renew, do we have to sign with CHK? I have only heard that CHK owns this section and is doing nothing lately, nor does it sound like they will.
Dee, the extension clause in your lease is CHK's to exercise, or not. That right was granted when the lease was executed. At this point I don't think CHK or any other company is interested in developing your area. That may change some time in the future. You should just wait until you get another offer.
