Skip, I have some interest in this one, any recent news?
No, Doug. I think the well is still Waiting On Completion.
I expect that is correct. If so and there are no problems and the well results are positive we may see some mention by GDP in their Aug.19 corporate presentation.
Skip, TMS news Friday Report 08/21/15 said Twenty stages fracked. The well is flowing back.Early reports are that It's a good one. do you have any information on the results?
Way too early for anything but unsubstantiated rumors at this point, Doug. There will be an initial production test for state reporting purposes that will provide some early data. However the wells with long laterals normally have a prolonged flowback period before they "clean up" sufficiently to reach peak daily production. If it's a really good well I don't think GDP will wait for the state test results to be posted. They will issue a press release or include the data in a corporate presentation so they can get the maximum publicity spin.
Form 3 for the T Lewis 7-38H #1 well has been added to the MSOGB site. Tested on 8/27/15 on a size 13 choke this well produced 767.2 barrels of oil. First production was reported on 8/15. Hope Skip is correct about the longer laterals taking a while to "clean up" to reach peak production.
You might want to listen to the webcast from the 8/17 GDP presentation to see if the T Lewis was mentioned.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
