no i dont work for shell or any body that has to do with oil and gas. i just have property on P. Hill and they have contacted me about a lease,so i am trying to find out as much as i can about them. dont want to get a bad deal.
Gambler,
What company are they using to contact landowners? Can you give us this information?
Audobon Oil
Audobon is Shell. They leased our land in Pleasant Hill 3 years ago.
Any information what rate the land in Pleasant Hill is leasing for?
alot
Harley-Do you have any specific numbers? Local reportings? Unfortunately, we're in Texas looking through the window at all the excitement!
most of the large acreage was leased a couple of years ago for $100-$150. now the most i know of from a family member who leased was $13,100 on hwy 174 about 5 miles out of town.
Thanks Harley! We were part of that $100 per acre. Oh...what we know now...
dont feel bad i leased property a month back and thought i was getting a good lease. i was told by the land men that nothing south of us was worth over $1,500 and after i signed a week later they were paying 3 times what i got.most of these co's use fear of being left out as a tool.
It has got to be hard to turn down those dollars when they are being waved in front of you. I just hope that by the time they get to my land that we will have a better idea of what its worth. I am sure that even then if you take $15,000 you should have waited and would have got $20,000. You just never know. I never did hear back from you on the $3,000 per acre offer in Peason. Did you find anymore out about that?
sometimes you just have to pick a point and say, ok, thats enough! let the drilling begin and royalties roll in!
