It went to court--sshe kept her minerals
I have an oxbow lake that once was the Red River chanel and has been a private lake for many decades...the river and state "took" the land made by a change in river chanel due to a flood and gave the old river chanel to the landowners who lost land due to the change in course...could the state claim mineral rights under the old river chanel ?...if so, then the state claims minerals under the old river chanel and the new river chanel...doesn't seem right
So you are saying that the 1921 amendments had nothing to do with beds and bottoms of navigatable waterways?
correct---it went to court and my great aunt was able to keep her minerals
My Great grandfather owned property that is now under water, he has 1 surviving daughter, where can I go to find out if she has any rights for leasing?
Go to the court house and find paperwork showing if he had the rights
to begin with--follow from there- ours went to court and my aunt was
able to keep
well they lease up cross lake and got one year to do it or it price is 21000.00 a 50% more if no money is coming in .so if you live by a lake is a one year lease, so maybe you live in the sec. that is part of the lake.
I have mineral rights under Toledo. My attorney says they stay yours if your land was taken against your will. Have you heard anything else about the leasing under the water?
Marsha---they did try to take land under water-from my aunt- it
went to court---she kept her minerals----
PS- would yours happen to be in converse---????????
i own land that half my section is in Caddo lake, should the play get out that far can anyone give me info on who would own it, how that would work, etc? We never owned that land, just live by the lake.
I own mineral rights under the lake and while no one was interested last year, all of a sudden they are very interested and are driving me absolutely nuts. No money has been shown yet, but I've been offered anywhere from 500 an acre to 2000 an acre. I have an attorney that's handling all this for me, but honestly, I'm about ready to just say "does anyone want to buy unleased mineral rights under Toledo Bend".....cause I'm pretty sick of the game actually.

Anybody else getting nibbles, or actual bites.
marsha, thanks for the reply---my sec is 27, t 9 n, r 14 w in sabine--------any updates, please let me know-------- thanks for any info in advance
