We have 350 acres in a North section of T6N R6W in Natchitoches Parish near Derry Cloutierville area. We have not heard of anything in this area that has been leased by land men. I guess it is all hanging on the results from the Messenger well and we have been crossing our fingers for good results- thanks everyone for keeping us posted. I have heard some talk of an oil well being drilled years ago in the Cloutierville area and they ened up caping it because they ran into too much gas... whether it is true or not is to be determined. I do know that the Trotter family is posting on the loga website for information on leasing their property in the Cloutierville area. Don't know if they have had any results. We can only hope that the Shale extends this far south.

Questions for Pat and anyone here that has gotten a $2,000 per acre from ENCANA. Has anyone gotten a better offer from a real company (e.g. not the colt guy Pat said he was deaing with who turned out to be a fraud).

loga is the Louisiana Oil And Gas Association- you can go to their website under Q&A for discussion about Haynesville Shale.

Just so you know, I have been contacted by XTO twice for information about some property we are trying to pool. T9NR9W between Robeline and Marthaville. I sent in some general info last week but have not heard anything back. I'd say the inquiry was not that serious as of yet. No $ was offered - just info...

Yesterday an XTO landman contacted me and said they were not interested in anything in T9NR9W between Robeline and Marthaville right now. If anybody know who is let me know...

I had e-mailed XTO and did have a guy call me back to verify my Sec T-R and asked if I had had any other offers and by who and what they had offered me. I told him and he said that they would check into it and see if this an area of interest for them, and if so they would contact me. This has been about a month ago and have not heard anything else.

Same happened to me as well. XTO emailed me yesterday saying they weren't interested in T9R9W right now.

There has been some interest by Devon Energy for 8-10 and 9-10. We have a group put together that has about 4,000 acres combined as of now and looking for others to join in.
