Can you say who it was told you "first come first serve until reserve was spent"? I've heard that line too. I'm wondering if it is from the same source.

There are no known legitimate offers by O&G's in Natchitoches Parish south of T9N, the southern boundary of which is basically LA Hwy 6. However, I have heard of offers to buy mineral rights and/or leasing rights from landowners in the Cypress area. From what I heard, these are spectulators trying to cash in. Please be careful, ask questions, and get professional assistance before leasing/selling.

I'm in the Flora/Cypress area...haven't heard from anyone. Have seen ads in Natch paper wanting to buy mineral rights. Not leasing...trying to BUY your mineral rights...probably not paying as much as what you could lease them for and retain a royalty. I'm avoiding that like the plague. I'm in 7-7 and all's quiet on my front. Actually, I emailed CHK and they responded that they weren't currently leasing in the area. I also emailed Petrohawk and never received a response. Patiently waiting. However, I did "hear" that somebody was fixing to do some seismic work in the vicinity of 3-J's 4 Way convenience store. Anybody know anything about that?

The word is that a seismic survey beginning in Zwolle and heading due east to Red River will commence soon. Just talk from some of the local seimic workers.

Jr., do you know what company was offering this? My in-laws have some land around Robeline and haven't heard anything...would be good news, though. Keep us posted as we don't live there.

I am in 8-8 just south of coldwater,(Hagewood). There are folks starting a land pool here, but I think its still early. I also heard that o/g men would be out in 2 to 3 weeks knocking on doors. I would be careful of speculators trying to play poker around here. Make sure you are dealing with true o/g companies. It might be a long shot, but I am holding out for a royal flush. lol
